Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the III International Forum CRITEOS, which will take place in Lisbon, November 23-25, 2006, hosted by Department of Social and Organizational Psychology of ISCTE.

The III International Forum CRITEOS is increasingly recognized as a meeting point to scholars and business community or administrators of public services interested in work, health and effectiveness topics.

The theme for this Forum is New Challenges in work, health and effectiveness research and it is our purpose to create a forum for critical reflection about work, health and effectiveness, and the key role of quality of live and organizational competitiveness.

The Program of the Forum will include invited speakers, presentation of individual papers, symposia and poster-symposia and aims to promote a meeting point for scholars, researchers and business or public services community related with the work issues.

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, will offer the international participants the integration of the old tradition of centuries of history with the modern avant-garde buildings or trendy bars and shops. Gastronomy is taken very seriously in Lisbon and Portuguese wine is the ubiquitous table beverage.
We are therefore confident that participants will not only enjoy the stimulating scientific program of III International Forum CRITEOS but also the wonders of Lisbon.

On behalf of everyone who is working to make this Forum a success, I wish to express to you all my most warm welcome.
Looking forward to meeting you in Lisbon, next November 2006.

José Gonçalves das Neves
Program Chair
